Terms and Conditions
1. About ScienceMamasHQ Research
ScienceMamasHQ Research is a UK-based Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) dedicated to advancing understanding and solutions for health challenges linked to nutrient deficiencies, gut health, and thyroid function, with a special focus on families and children facing complex health conditions.
2. Purpose of Donations
Donations to ScienceMamasHQ Research will support our overall mission to fund and drive groundbreaking research and promote awareness about the critical role of nutrition in managing complex health conditions. While our current focus is on funding The ASD UK Twins Study, donations are not limited to this project.
3. Allocation of Funds
* Primary Allocation: Donations received during the current funding campaign (first quarter of 2025) will be directed towards reaching the funding goal of £250,000 for The ASD UK Twins Study. This amount covers the costs of laboratory testing, equipment, participant recruitment, data analysis, and dissemination of findings.
* Surplus Funds: If donations exceed the £250,000 target, surplus funds will be allocated to other ongoing or future research projects and initiatives that align with the charity's objectives.
4. Exclusions from Funding
Funds raised through this campaign will not cover personal costs such as tuition fees, stipends, or unrelated administrative expenses. All funds are strictly used to support the charity’s research projects and associated operational needs.
5. Financial Transparency
ScienceMamasHQ Research is committed to transparency in the use of funds. Regular updates on the campaign's progress, research milestones, and financial allocations will be shared via our official website and other communication channels. Detailed reports on project outcomes and expenditures will also be made available to donors.
6. Refund Policy
All donations to ScienceMamasHQ Research are final and non-refundable. In the rare event that the charity is unable to proceed with its stated projects, donors will be notified and any remaining funds will be redirected to other projects that align with the charity's mission, as determined by the trustees.
7. Tax and Gift Aid
ScienceMamasHQ Research is a registered UK charity. Donors who are UK taxpayers may be eligible for Gift Aid, which allows the charity to claim an additional 25% on top of the donation at no extra cost to the donor. Gift Aid declarations can be made during the donation process.
